Water damaged I phone 4 - can it work again?

Hello All

dropped mine down the loo (don't ask, it was flushed at the time!) did the drying out with rice thing, it worked for four marvellous days, now gone kaput again. Have ordered another one via insurance but would love to bring this one back to life so have made an appt with the Apple Genius Bar in Regent Street but is that pretty pointless and should I just accept that mine is gone? Also, if anyone has a spare I phone 4 I could borrow for a few days (happy to pay) I'd be more than grateful.

Apple won't repair your phone - I took mine in with a broken screen. They also have a damp indicator inside, so they know if it got wet.

They did sell me a new iPhone 4 for ?150 (I think) with a 3 month warranty.
