Rugby for kids!

Recommended Posts

We are a small family orientated rugby club based at Kings Sports Ground, Brackley Rise, in Honor Oak who provide rugby training / matches for girls and boys age 5-11 years. We train from 0900-1030hrs on Sunday mornings. Are coaches are all DBS checked and RFU qualified. There is free parking onsite and also toilets / café / clubhouse. We are part of a wider community sports set up that provide hockey and football for children at the site.

Are membership fees are £90 for the season and that includes all training sessions, entry to rugby tournaments, welcome pack and other events (Christmas Party). We also your every year (last year Welsh tour to Abergavenny).

We know there are bigger clubs in the area however we are a very friendly club that ensures every child is welcome and have a policy of 'equal play time'. This is Rugby World Cup Year' and if your would like to give us a try please pop along to Kings Sports ground (we are 5mins walk from Honor Oak Station and directly on P12 bus route). Please see our flyer attached or website (https://kchrfc.co.uk)

    • A couple of updates to this terrible event:   1) In 2021, two cousins (one from Penge and one from Streatham) were convicted of murder and sentenced to a minimum of 23 years in prison. The Southwark News has a summary of the awful day. https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/dulwich/donnell-rhule-dulwich-knife-murderer-cousins-sentenced-to-life-for-killing-18-year-old/    2) Last week, a female prison officer from Forest Hill was sentenced to eight months in prison for pursuing a relationship with one of the two murderers while at HMP Brixton. https://metro.co.uk/2025/12/15/probation-officer-admits-relationship-prisoner-hmp-belmarsh-25501445/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/38203627/probation-officer-jailed-illicit-relationship-murderer-secure-prison/
    • The Commons Public Accounts Committee questioned both the CEO and MD of Capita yesterday, at their last meeting before the recess:  https://committees.parliament.uk/event/25889/formal-meeting-oral-evidence-session/.  In October they'd already expressed concern that Capita might not  be able to efficiently retake over responsibility for the administration within the timescale. Given the joint statement recently issued by Capita and the Cabinet Office I'm not sure that contacting an MP is going to add much, other than venting what I think most of us can probably appreciate of what those affected are likely  to be thinking and feeling; unless perhaps, and I hope it's not needed, to report on deficiencies in the immediate rescue actions.
    • She's responded, but I'm sure I read something in the Guardian consumer advice column. Might be some pointers if you're stuck
    • Two for Ratcliffe, the obvious one:   And one simply because it has the word  "You are nothing but blind fascists" in it.  Oh and a good song too.   Haven't listened to this for years.  Bloody good!
