EAST DULWICH TUTORS

Spring term courses below - booking is now open!

  1. Year 7 preparation course for Year 6 pupils. Do  Year 7 Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, ICT and RE. One session per week with a different Year 7 subject each week on a rotation. Your child will work at year 7 level and be taught by an experienced and current secondary school teacher and be ready for Year 7! This could be done in a group or 1:1.
  2. Year 6 SATs preparation courses - We will help your child prepare for the SATs in May 2024. Maths and  English preparation for the exams.
  3. Entrance test preparation courses:  4 plus to 13 plus including 11 plus for all local Dulwich schools. 
  4. KS2/KS3/GCSE Maths and English - catch up/confidence building
  5. Get Reception Ready! - courses for pre-schoolers - looking at numbers/letters and sounds - all delivered in an age appropriate way.
  6. Tutor your own child - four week course - online for parents (daytime or evening). Learn from an experienced tutor - brush up on your own school Maths and English and have a go at Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning for entrance exams. Learn how to help your own child.

All courses starting in January 2024. Prices from £25 per hour for a group session (6 people)  1:1/1:2 sessions also available. These courses are usually online via Zoom. Live sessions are also available depending on location. References and enhanced DBS are available.

    • Nice to see the property is going to reopen with a Newish business, good luck to them.
    • Of course they do, watching cookery shows and buying cook books is a national pastime. However you raise a good point that some people claim they are time poor and end up eating out / takeaways as sometimes a quick macciedee is cheaper and easier than making a quick nutrious family meal.  However to put it in balance, not many people have the knowledge, confidence and time to cook Persian so good luck to team persepolis on this venture. 
    • London doesn’t have a lot of Argentinian places specialising in empanadas, which suggests demand isn’t that great. There are many neighbourhoods with none at all or even nearby.  So for a mini-chain like Chango (several branches in SW London) to open here where there’s already a well established family run place doing the same feels a bit off.  I’ll be giving Chacarero my ongoing custom.
