benmck
Fancy brewing your own beer in time for cost-effective Christmas celebrations? A friend of mine emigrated a few years ago and left me with all his beer-making kit. He had got into home brewing in a big way. All his gear has been sitting in my shed ever since. Apparently it includes everything you need to get going, although I wouldn't vouch for anything perishable (such as malt, yeast or whatever) that it might contain. It includes: - a large plastic keg with tap - another large plastic vessel with tap - a metal pressurised container - a plastic bucket full of beer bottles (all unused, but some with labels from one of his brews) - a metal lever-arm crown cap fitter (a bit rusty on the bottom, but otherwise fine) - plastic measuring jug - all bottle brushes and other sundries necessary for brewing, including a thermometer All of this is FREE as long as you can come and pick it up from West Dulwich. My friend was something of a perfectionist who worked in the City, so I would imagine that the gear is good quality. It should give someone with the inclination to brew the perfect start. The photo shows some of the larger vessels. Barbecue not included! If anyone is interested I can dig the stuff out and do a better audit/take better pictures of what's included...
