Recommendation - great plumber Marc Hyde

Hi,

I have had 2 separate plumbing issues - and both times Marc Hyde responded quickly and did a great job! He's also really friendly and nice so you don't feel like an idiot unlike some other tradesmen I've dealt with previously.

I found him by recommendation on the East Dulwich Forum, which was a life-saver, and so I thought I would add my own recommendation to help others in their plumbing woes.

Marc Hyde's number is 07837 802521 and his web page is http://marchyde.simpl.com/contact.html

I will definitely be phoning Marc for any future issues I have, and I'd strongly recommend giving him a go.

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
