sandyman
Hi, Not sure if anyone can help but I've run out of Bisoprolol. I ordered via my repeat prescription but the system is taking longer than usual. Chemist has given me emergency supply in the past but is no longer allowed and suggested I called 111 who may be able to issue prescription. I've had so many problems in the past with 111 though I thought I'd see first if anyone has a few tablets they can 'lend' me until my prescription comes through and I can replace them. Seems crazy but otherwise I might have to sit in A&E for umpteen hours just to get four small tablets. That's what the chemist suggested but I don't have a lot of confidence in 111's prescription getting to the chemist in time. A few weeks ago my daughter injured her eye - 111 referred her to st george's eye specialist in tooting - she went all the way there and they had no record of referral and wouldn't see (no pun intended) her. Oxalis
I've used the 111 service when I forgot medication when I went away. Worked brilliantly. All done on line https://111.nhs.uk/emergency-prescription Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/337434-now-sorted/#findComment-1647390 Share on other sites

All done on line https://111.nhs.uk/emergency-prescription thanks I did this and luckily I picked a chemist that's open all day rather than my local one that closes at 1pm because I've been told it will take up to three hours for the instructions to get through to the pharmacy. As long as I can get it today i should be ok. Update - Got meds at 3.30 so the system does work - if slower than I was hoping!
