We are repeating the Snowmen ride as an extra ride on Saturday Dec 16th. This is because the weather deterred many riders last Saturday. Jane has agreed to repeat the ride this Saturday (with new registration link below). There will therefore be 2 rides now on the 16th. The previously announced Spitalfields ride starting from Peckham has plenty space left, please register at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peckham-to-spitalfields-market-via-covent-garden-tickets-773867978957.  Note the forecast for Saturday is dry.

Additional Ride Dec 16th.  Snowmen in the City  < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/repeat-ride-snowmen-in-the-city-tickets-775932634397 >  10h00 start at Emma Cons Gardens, The Cut, London SE1 8LN (opposite the Old Vic). Inspired by The Twelve Days of Christmas, designed by various artists, 12 "Snowmen" are to be found tucked away at different sites between Fleet Street ad St Pauls. We'll aim to find as many as we can on a stop-start fun ride. Hope to take about 2 hours, a bit longer if we find somewhere for coffee.  Jane leading. Note we will be limiting numbers to 12. So if you register but then cannot come, please cancel (link below).

Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. Do not turn up to these events if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or are currently testing positive.  If you cannot make a ride, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. This ride is organised by Southwark Cyclists and is part of a regular programme of Saturday rides, more information at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/.  Southwark Cyclists are part of the London Cycling Campaign. This ride is organised by volunteers. If you have any feedback, good or bad, please get in touch with [email protected]. For details of LCC’s Safeguarding and other policies please see lcc.org.uk

    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
    • I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
    • As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/   It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.
    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
