My 4 year old is asking more and more questions about how babies get into tummies etc. I think there was a thread here some time ago recommending good books to aid discussion (I think I need help as I want to answer honestly and appropriately!).

Thanks in advance :)

I recommend the Science Museum exhibit (or could be NHM) on human reproduction. The pictures and video are really helpful to younger children and they only take away from it what they can understand so it's age appropriate for a wide range of ages. My 4 year old son found it really helpful while I was pregnant with his second younger sister but he did then ask to be present at the birth so he could see it with his own eyes!
Another vote for 'Mummy laid an egg'. I love it! Not sure how much of it my 4 year old has taken in. She was much more interested in sea slug reproduction - they each have a willy, the willy breaks off inside the other and then they grow a new one.
