Hello, my name’s Freya and I’m an author living in Dulwich! I wanted to share about my book, in case any of you have new year resolutions to read more!

The Tidal Year is a true story about my adventure to swim in every tidal pool in Britain after the death of my brother. It’s about the healing power of wild swimming and the space it creates for reflection, rewilding, and hope. Love, loss and sisterhood.

It also includes lots of writing about South London including Brockwell Park, Lordship Lane, Brixton Market, Camberwell and Myatt’s Fields so hopefully it’s a lovely local read!

It’s currently only 99p on Amazon. But you can also buy it from all local bookshops in Dulwich. I think Rye Books even have a few signed copies!

Please let me know if you read and enjoy it,

Freya

    • Yes I agree, that's why I specifically said "re the wildlife"!
    • Maggie Browning a DH councillor recently had a baby and I believe plans to return to work. I think that to have the additional stress of  being a councillor, a new mother and having a job is a good reason for not standing again. Maggie was one of the few labour councillors who were approachable, acted on your behalf in regards to several concerns and appeared at various public events i.e Police SNT Meetings, community events etc. Have met one of the new prospective councillors and introduced her to various community based organisations.
    • Hello, I’m currently looking to buy Jellycat soft toys and LEGO sets for my children. If you have any available for sale, please feel free to message me. Thank you!
    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
