Bonjour,

I am a native and qualified French teacher with several years of experience and I offer one to one French lessons to all level and ages. I cover sentence structure, grammar, verbs and we will build up your conversation to slowly get you confident and comfortable with the language.

I provide all material, and depending on your expectations and your way of learning, I make the classes either more interactive or more academic.

I make sure we cover

* the practice of conversation and building up sentences

* grammar and verbs learning

* vocabulary and sentence structure explanation

* pronunciation, reading through article of your interests

As I think learning needs to be fun, I can make the classes more or less interactive, using books, games and magazines that I bring from France. All classes can happen on Zoom, Skype or Teams as you prefer.

I charge £35 per hour.

A bientôt !

Hello Elisa

I hope you can help.  Recently , after listening to the podcasts, I've begun the  InnerFrench course https://courses.innerfrench.com/courses/build-a-strong-core/ which is online.  My reasons for doing it, is that my mother was French and I'd like to be able to have more (some!) confidence in speaking the language. I also speak Spanish btw.  No doubt I also need help with grammar etc but I don't need to pass exams or get a certificate.  I see that you only do sessions online but is there any chance of doing it in person? e.g. in a cafe or somewhere?  I really have had enough of online, but I realise it's maybe better for you.  I'm a semi-retired academic in the museum sector. I live in Forest Hill near the Horniman.  If IRL isn't for you, perhaps you know someone or a group I can join, preferably local, or easy to travel to?  Many thanks. I look forward to hearing from.  Linda Sandino [email protected]

    • thanks Jenijenjen and all - yes, i remember walking or taking the bus from the elephant (where i was working) to Camberwell to get there.  I think Tim - who's still at Franklin's -  was there in those days, and the woman who ran the cafe!  Other food places that i remember fondly are the ones in Neal's Yard (with the Hunkin sculpture that you could put a coin in ) and the basement lunch place at the Tottenham Court Road junction with Hanway Street...
    • Did you try the emergency number posted above? It mentions lift breakdowns over the festive period outside the advertised  times. Hope you got it sorted x
    • People working in shops should not be "attempting to do the bill in their head." Nor if questioned should they be  trying to "get to an agreeable number." They should be actually (not trying to) getting to the correct number. I'm afraid in many cases it is clearly more than incorrect arithmetic. One New Year's Eve in a restaurant (not in East Dulwich but quite near it) two of us were charged for thirty poppadoms. We were quite merry when the bill came, but not so merry as to not notice something amiss. Unfortunately we have had similar things happen in a well established East Dulwich restaurant we no longer use. There is also a shop in East Dulwich which is open late at night. It used not to display prices on its goods (that may have changed). On querying the bill, we several times found a mistake had been made. Once we were charged twice for the same goods. There is a limit to how many times you can accept a "mistake".  There is also a limit to how many times you can accept the "friendly" sweet talking after it.
