For sale: Bugaboos Bee pushchair, Maclaren buggy, Littlelife carrier, Bjorn sling, BT video baby monitor

Recommended Posts

I’m finally saying goodbye to baby stuff from #2 (sob). All prices are suggestions based on research but feel free to DM me an offer. I’m also open to someone making my/your life easier by taking the lot - so ask away!

1) Bugaboo Bee pushchair (khaki) with accessories - £180

Includes: sturdy intact rain cover / sun parasol / snug newborn insert with headrest / snug winter footmuff / spare khaki hood / attachable cup (inside bits that hold small cups in place have snapped off but it’s still great for bottles). Plus: handlebar Mummy Mitts (new Velcro needed) and x2 Happy Mummy handlebar hooks

NOTE: everything that could be washed has been taken off this Bugaboo and put through washing machine, inc hood, straps and all inserts/footmuffs. I also scrubbed down the chassis and, though not spotless, it is IMO ready to ROLL!

Please also NOTE: there is one small crack to the footrest (see pic), which in no way impedes usage or sturdiness. There is also one small tear on the inside of the main footmuff and slight bobbling of the material on its outside (see pics)

2) Maclaren Quest quick-fold pushchair - £100

with shoulder strap, shopping basket underneath and spacious pocket at the back. Reclines to near-flat and leg rest can be set to horizontal. Rain cover inc - please note it is torn at one corner (see pic) but still useable. Lightly used coz bought as a spare.

NOTE: Again, everything removable (seat cover, basket, straps) has been through washing machine; non-removable hood and chassis have been scrubbed. So this is also ready to use.

3) Littlelife Freedom S2 child carrier (blue) with sun shade and rain cover (purchased separately and used about once) - £100

Great if you love big walks as the waist strap takes most of the weight and it easily adjusts to different back lengths. Detachable animal-print pillow has been through washing machine. Overall, lightly used/v good condition

NOTE: see pic for one frayed side pocket

4) Pacapod nappy bag (grey) - £50

Backpack-style so great for hands-free strolling (grey) - lots of space inside and plenty of pockets inc one for laptop. Included: both feeding & changing pods, an unused drawstring bag, original changing mat, plus an extra “luxury” (!) mat. The whole thing has been through washing machine and is ready to use.

5) Baby Bjorn sling (black with red lining) - £30

Very sturdy, super-easy to use (if slightly faded, see pics) carrier with lots of life left. Washed and ready to use.

6) BT Video Baby Monitor 6000 - £50

In great working condition (see pics, with apologies for creepy doll!). Crystal clear pic on 5-inch screen in both day and night modes. You can pan the room remotely, have sound on or off, set screen to come on only if there’s a disturbance, check room temp - and it plays x5 lullabies! No wifi so simple to use out of the box and no risk of prying eyes. Good condition - minor scratches to screen, which I’ve tried to photograph but they don’t really show.

And a few other useful bits ‘n’ bobs:

Chicco red balance bike - fairly scratched but still sturdy - £15

Konfidence Roll & Go (blue) neoprene baby changing mat - for swimming, bought for Aquatots classes - £5

Rocking horse for under-3s £10

Fisher Price Laugh & Learn dog - quite frankly incredibly annoying, but fully working with sounds and songs - £5

My First Nursery Rhymes CD - does anyone still listen to these?! FREE

My First Signs book - sign language for babies book FREE

Location for pick up: next to Catford Station, SE6

Cash only, please. No time-wasters, but I’m happy to send more images if you’re genuinely interested.

    • It has come to this author’s attention that the world of 4+ admissions — that most enigmatic of educational rites — continues to bewilder even the most composed of parents. Fear not. For in a former life, I was not merely a humble observer, but a seasoned educator of over twenty years, and Head of Pre-Prep for a distinguished dozen. Now, with quill exchanged for touchscreen, I have taken to that most modern of salons — Instagram — to dispense guidance, answer frequently whispered questions, and illuminate the shadowy corners of school selection with clarity and calm. Each post bears my signature twist: a blend of insight, levity, and the occasional raised eyebrow. Should you find yourself adrift in the sea of admissions, I suggest you peruse my latest dispatch. • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
