We have had nothing and nor have our immediate neighbours. It did seem very ambitious for Cllr McAsh to think you could get them reprinted and sent to 8,000 households in just over a week pr perhaps there has been yet another council "oversight". Surely if they have not been delivered the consultation deadline has to be extended yet again?

Yes, I would think anther extension would be required.

I wonder how much it costs to do one door to door mail drop to 8000 residences (although we know only some of that was actually done) and then a mail out of 8000?

No doubt the Council/ Cllr McAsh will pull the 'it's not our fault if the mail is not working' stunt.

To add an offside comment. Sometime ago the Council posted a booklet giving Southwark Services up date. One item was regarding collection of refuse. If you wanted a calendar for the year email. Duly did almost a month has now passed, no calendar. All replies  from Environmental Servies from the Leader down has send within 2/3 day it will be sent. No calendar.

If 1 item cannot be sent what chance do you think you have with 8000 arriving

Surprise, surprise. Cllr McAsh knew exactly what he was doing there: use a failing and unreliable service to deliver within a very tight deadline, expecting the system will fail but secure in the knowledge the Council will not be held accountable for that failure. Meantime, as few residents as possible are alerted to an extension for the consultation.

I really hope that the residents who got the last extension now ask for another, despite the Council's announcement that the consultation is over.

    • Yawn.. as I and others suspected the noticeboard is already looking shabby, has the details of local councillors who in my experience are of very limited help with anything at all (e.g. noticeboard took several years of writing to get back in working order and now isn't being kept up to date with any useful local info about food banks or any services as promised). So nothing at all in left hand side. Pointless and a real shame as could benefit so many small businesses.. and no I don't own a small business I just believe in supporting shopping locally where possible and know they often have little to no marketing budget.
