All proceeds from this Shanty and Sea Song night will be donated to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI),

We welcome back The HogEye Men to the Goose Is Out! They are fantastic  Shanty and Sea song singers, who have been together for many years. They are possibly London's finest Shanty crew and have recently been appointed resident Shanty crew aboard the Cutty Sark, Greenwich, London.

There will be support from Chris Lamb, Creeping Jane, John Haseler and Shotley Crue.

There will be a raffle and (hopefully) lots of audience participation.

Please note the live music will begin at 7.30pm and end at 10.30 pm as opposed to our usual start and end times of 8.00pm and 11pm. This is because some of the HogEye Men have a long way to get home.

    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
