I have a freezer full of food to donate BUT I haven't found a food bank that will take frozen food. I also haven't found one that will let me drop off evenings or weekends. I'm at work during the day.

Added complication its I don't have a car, I'll be bringing it by taxi.

Anyone have sensible suggestions?

There are a number of food banks in N and E London. Maybe easier to goggle them or look up Hackney Council's list of warm hubs and work your way through those who also have food banks etc. I think it is also the Trussell Trust that operates some food banks.

I've done this but haven't found one in Hackney that takes frozen food

I'd have thought frozen food wouldn't be accepted anywhere, because you couldn't tell if it had been thawed (and if so for how long) and then refrozen.

For some things this probably  wouldn't matter, except for possible loss of  quality (?) but for other things it could be a health hazard.

Worth a try, they take frozen food and they collect within the M25

If you input SE15 into the search on this website it brings up a local pantry that takes frozen food

Thank you for trying but I'd already looked at these and they collect from businesses/have a minimum weight donation.

Cheers. I'll try calling them in the half term.

Thank you. That's very kind of you but I'm bringing it over from Hackney!

Albrighton do have freezers and give out frozen food. Definitely worth a try.

Thanks for the tip - very helpful. I'm hoping to take it down next week. Xx

Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!
