As an MA student and confident French speaker, I bring my knowledge of and love for the language to my sessions, tailoring them to your or your child's individual needs and goals.

I believe in a holistic approach to learning and aim to get students speaking straight away, while providing engaging and dynamic sessions using a range of materials such as powerpoints, exercises, activities, and games. Depending on your focus, we can we can target a number of broad foundational skills including speaking, pronunciation, reading comprehension, listening, and grammar. For more advanced students, I also offer tuition on translation, culture, literature and theory.

I work most often with students at GCSE and A Level, but I am also happy to provide lessons for adult learners.

Sessions can be carried out online or in person, as we work together to get you closer to confidence and fluency in French.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
