FREE Faulty Miele Dishwasher G5000 SC (for repair / parts)

Recommended Posts

I bought a second-hand dishwasher on here about a year ago and until recently it was running perfectly but has just given up the ghost.

Since there were no signs of any mechanical issues before it suddenly decided not to turn on, I suspect it's something that's relatively simple and electrical.

I've exhausted my electrical knowledge in testing the fuse and checking the connections in the PCB, but someone with more time / expertise / skill than me may be able to get it working.

Miele offer a repair service but it felt like a bit of a gamble and didn't feel like the right way to go when a replacement was only about £100 more.

We've preemptively arranged to get it removed when we get a new one delivered tomorrow but I thought I'd put it on here in case anyone wanted to pick it up tomorrow morning.

In working order they are about £600 new or £250 second hand.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
