Bergere Sofa Suite - £500 ono

Selling our vintage antique Bergere sofa suite - comprising of one three-seat settee, and two matching single armchairs. They date back to the Edwardian era, circa 1910.

Beautiful pieces, which have seen through multiple generations of living rooms - sadly looking to sell as we no longer have room due to downsizing.

All pieces have had the canework redone and is in good condition, along with the walnut frame. Work has been done to both chairs; the springs underneath have been re-fitted and we have begun work to re-upholster the fabric of the bases. We still have an excess of stripy fabric used here, and had all the good intentions to complete the upholstery of the cushions but we haven't been able to get round to this. Perfect for an upholstery project, for anyone keen!

Hoping we can find someone local who can love this set as much as we have - so Open to Offers from EDF first, before we attempt to go down the antique / auction route... £500 but willing to consider reasonable offers

DIMENSIONS:
The sofa measures 1.60m (5’3”) long and the chairs are 0.73m (2’5”) at their widest.
For both, the Depth is 0.74m, Height 0.84m (at backrest)
The Cushions (not entirely square, a bit of an oblong shape to fit) are 0.56m wide max, 0.72m long (deep)

    • This might be a better picture.
    • I don't think anyone would object to the examples you have given being given space in the noticeboard (Theatre Peckham is a registered charity) and I think reflect the original intentions behind their introduction. I would not like to see advertisements for purely commercial enterprises e.g yoga studios, cafes, tradesmen which would not be in keeping with the original purpose.
    • Multiple complaints and reports of the leak but no barrier as of 4.30pm today. Shockingly bad form especially as they had TW engineers on site across the road this morning. Fix one, another bursts. Lots of residents without water in this hot weather, just terrible...
    • I agree... perhaps you could also write to our local councillors to point these things out. Never know they might actually reply! Thanks for your help speaking to Monica. She may hopefully have useful contacts re obtaining a key. Completely agree - what's on (which could include some small businesses  such as Theatre Peckham, which I think may be a charity or at least community not for profit? And school fairs type thing..) plus anything the community would find useful, such as free events for the elderly (LinkAge are active in ED and surrounding areas) and lots more.
