Is anyone else disappointed by the number of wheelie bins left on the pavement all week outside Lordship Lane properties? The issue seems to be worst between crystal palace road going downhill towards the police station. It makes the road look really untidy and must be a nuisance for some pedestrians, eg with large buggies. Other roads in East Dulwich don't seem to have the same problem, so why is it happening on Lordship Lane?

As far as I understand it bins are only supposed to be outside on collection day, and southwark's own website mentions that wheelie bins should only be supplied to those people who have the capacity for storing them inside the boundary of their own property.

    • They are. We are back to the same construction racket 8am-8pm every day for the whole of this week. The wall is one of the last things to come down, probably on Saturday. Then we can see how much of a mess they've made, especially the quantity of non-biodegradeable litter trampled into the earth. GALA 2025 - Production Schedule.pdf

    • It is intimidating looking through the book sections now.  I sometimes wonder if they're stocking bookshops' remainders. OTOH, when I put  some books out in a cardboard box for taking, it was  encouraging to see that a fair proportion of those taken were aged hardbacks.
