Just wondering if there is a gas leak in a tenanted property and the gas board advises tenants to leave who is responsible for their accommodation or compensation I would’ve thought it’s the landlord because the accommodation is no longer habitable but am interested  in other thinking/ knowledge

Gas board knocked on the door at 1 am and said everyone had to leave there was the gas leak

Was / is the leak ins8de the property or nearby the property?

If inside and it's the landlords responsibility then they will have to assist you with temporary accommodation.

If its outside and nothing to do with the landlord then you may have to seek redress from the gas board 🙄

"These boards simply became known as the "gas board", a term people still use when referring to British Gas, the company that replaced the boards when the Gas Act 1972 was passed. The area boards became regions of the British Gas Corporation."   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_board

For clarity, the document shows that he receives the standard basic allowance all councillors get and a Senior Responsibility Allowance commensurate with the post he held. He claims no other allowance or any expenses as far as I can see... which makes me wonder what your point might be?
