Asking prices and the sums at which sales are agreed are often very different. Depending upon the agent and the client type and the client's motivations, two identical properties might come to market at very different prices. This particular house might seem expensive but it's got an enfilade (or something) so it must be worth every penny.

100% squeaky floors from what i can see the floorboards are really old

Croocked walls (as the picture of greem bathroom shows the walls are not exactly straight and there is signs of cracks allover)

Do you speak about the houses of your own clients this way? 🤔

Inigo is an estate agents that interior designs/ decorates it’s for sale houses so they all have the same earthy tones. And then inflate prices.
It’s mainly aimed at people who don’t have the imagination to decorate with colour or any skills at interior design.

Vastly overpriced. Larger and more substantial houses in market for less

It is beautiful but it’s only how it’s been done. It’s not structurally amazing and the garden is basic.

There are some fab interior designers in Dulwich, you can make your own home look like a show home

thing is, it’s foreign investors that are also in the market, or did you think that all rented properties are owned by  locals?

They’re just an estate agent, they don’t do interior design. However they ‘curate’ what they sell by only taking on certain styles of houses, which is why they all look similar to you. They have a certain target customer who is looking for this style of house and they will list houses all in this period style. Their sister company is The Modern House which does the same but for modernist looking properties (we had them in to value ours)

It’s an interesting idea as it goes against the traditional estate agent model of being focused on an area (whatever the property type) and instead focusing on a property type nationwide.

They keep a directory of interior designers, architects, etc. On their website. Thats how we found our architects when we refurbished our place.

hope that helps

Doesn't say clearly that it tried to bite you , but instead implies that you had the impression, right or wrong that it wanted to nip you.  unless you are clear others will read it how you write it.  As for being a jobsworth, what a quaint old expression, haven't heard that for a long while.
    • Crook locks can be sawn through, or the steering wheel to which it is attached, I know to my own cost. The safest additional security measure is what's called a ghost immobiliser, which cannot be traced through the car's electronics, meaning it is difficult to bypass. They cost a bomb however.
    • I’ve reported two instances of mobile phone theft to 999 in recent times. On both occasions several police units have arrived very quickly - in one case they found the perpetrator.
    • With all these high-end car thefts, surely there's a case to be made for all new cars to be supplied with a Crook Lock type device and having insurance invalidated if the owner does not have it in place when it is parked.
