The P13 bus is on diversion due to a new bus stop being erected in Sainsburys DKH.  There are no notices on affected bus stops and no announcements on the buses.  Diversion is - from Peckham, the bus turns left from Pytchley Road on to DKH, so not a big issue.  But going towards Peckham, the bus seems to be diverting via Goose Green/ Peckham Rye because it can't turn right into Pytchley Rd.  There is nothing on TFL website, so don't know how long this will be.  Incidentally, the 42 bus is still running into Sainsburys!

You would have thought that local Cllrs would have posted this on the forum as so many people in Dulwich and Peckham use this service.

Remember many elderly people do not have Iphones to get this news after waiting at bus stops for god knows how long.

This is a weird complaint. I'm not sure if you're the same person who made it last time there is a similar bus diversion.

Councillors can't just spend all their time posting on forums about anything that vaguely relates to their constituency even if it doesn't relate to their responsibilities. Their access to bus stop closure information (!) is just the same as yours. This is a TfL question and they're the only ones able to publish reliable information.

Besides, if your point is that OAPs don't have iPhones to access the TfL information, how would they be accessing the East Dulwich Forum? (All the OAPs I know are constantly on Facebook anyway...)

When I was there at lunch time today the work was well underway and they seemed to be finishing the final works so hopefully tomorrow the bus stop may have "re-opened".

There was enough space for the P13 to have gone to an alternative location in the car park to drop off and pick up passengers today. It was sheer laziness by TfL not to make alternative arrangements.

    • There’s a couple of Gov petitions going on in relation to fireworks at the moment but this one is for banning them entirely except organised displays if anyone wants to sign. This is the only sensible way forward in my view. No one should be able to let them off in gardens or anywhere like that, it’s crazy. I am surprised some of you have said it hasn’t been as bad this year. I live near DKH Saino and it’s been absolutely terrible my way for days. This petition gained about 20,000 just in the last day or so so clearly the appetite is there! https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/732559
    • I'd have thought they could use some of  their income from hiring out a large part of Brockwell Park in the summer (therefore, as I understand it, preventing local residents from using much of it) to put on a firework display there  in the autumn which might somewhat make up to those residents for the previous loss of use of the park. And also generate goodwill.

Care to share with the rest of us where  your particular interest in libraries comes from? Do you work in one of them?
