Hi everyone,

I am a creative and fun nanny living in Lewisham/Blackheath, looking for a lovely family to join on Wednesdays & Thursdays. A bit about me:

I have over 10 years of experience in childcare, and am confident working with and catering for the many physical and emotional needs of young babies as well as children of all ages. I've worked as a nanny and live-in Au Pair; in London, France, as well as teaching English in Italy. More recently I worked as a nanny for two families; a nanny share; with five children- all under 6. Most recently I worked 4 days a week for two lovely families with two adorable 1 yos; the parents of all of whom would be more than happy to give references. I'm currently still with the same family but their little one has gone to nursery, so am looking to replace the hours Weds & Thurs. I love being silly and getting creative with kids, doing lots of art, storytelling, trips to the park, singing etc!

I am fully DBS checked, and have my paediatric first aid certificate. I am musically trained, Grade 8 and Grade 6 on piano and trumpet. I write & perform music on the side, and would be more than happy to incorporate music into my care duties in whatever way you see fit, as I strongly believe that music is a brilliant tool for life, and a way of creatively enhancing the worlds of children of all ages, and their development as human beings.

I am available for ad hoc babysits, and would be happy to start as early as 16th May 2024.

Please feel free to contact me on here, or via email/phone to meet in person for a CV or referees; my email is [email protected] and my telephone number is 07535784764 if you require any further information.

Get in touch as I'm looking for the perfect family & fit!

Bridget 🙂

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. Hope some of these might provide leads. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137603-home-schooling-advice-anyone-wants-to-do-it-together/#comment-1092093 Very old post but group seems still to exist: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/92044-home-education-local-group/#comment-954837 You could try contacting this forum member: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/325368-classroom-support-for-home-education-community/#comment-1621064 Two of these left for right now: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/events/event/1025-🌟-teens-11-try-painting-sculpture-street-art-at-holiday-workshops/
    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
