Looking for Podcast contributors

Hi there,

I'm producing an episode of a podcast for StoryThings which looks at payroll in a different city around the world, with London as one, and featuring real people who can talk about their experiences with work. Perhaps you have experience of the following;

Payroll Giving (Do you give to charity through your wages?)

Flexible retirement (Have you recently negotiated this through your company?)

Pay complexities caused by Brexit (In fact any complexity caused by Brexit. Perhaps you are an EU citizen working at a UK company who has had to deal with changes that affected your taxation and benefits, and the HR department was able to help you navigate the changes).

The ongoing war on talent /employers competing to find the best talent and improve recruitment. Were you scouted by a company and had to negotiate aspects of your pay? Did you have discussions with payroll to help you make your decision?

Paid sabbatical/career break?

We're not looking for CEOs or policy makers but regular employees, ideally working for a company in London who has experienced any of the above and are willing to briefly share for the podcast.

You may have a story that isn't listed above but would make for an interesting listen or shine a light on some aspect of pay that is particular to the UK/London.  It could be some aspect of Paternity leave for example...even PAW-ternity! We're very open to suggestions.

Do get in touch and we can have a chat by phone/zoom or a coffee this week.

Thanks

Hannah

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
