Hi,

I have a few filled and empty sharps bins to dispose of. My GP has filled out a form for the council and they've come to us while we were away, left two large sharps bins and no instructions.

Would any of you know what to do?

In the meantime I've gained another two empty sharps bins to add to my collection...

Many thanks

You can request for them to come and collect your full bins again

They usually come on whatever day your rubbish/recycling collection day is. If you aren't going to be in, leave them somewhere that they can find it. If you don't need replacements, just leave a note on the full ones that a replacement isn't needed.
They usually come quite early, so it's better to leave them outside if you can.

Thank you for your replies all. Elloriac, I followed your advice: I filled out the form and they said they would collect today. So I left the sharps bins on my front door last night, with a not like you said and this morning they were all gone! Fantastic.

    • Just had the soup dumplings for lunch - genuinely amazing and I really hope they survive. Cooked by the young guy's aunty. He hinted that things are tough and acknowledged the slight marketing confusion. Quality not in doubt
    • Just had lunch at Sweet Dreams/Aroma Coffee, the place with the slight identity crisis on Upland Road. I had the dumpling soup and it was SO good. Simple, balanced, just great (you can have double dumplings or dumplings plus noodles). Cooked by the young guy's aunty. It was clear they're struggling a bit, and it's clear they need some marketing support, but the quality of the food certainly ain't in doubt
    • It was "pretend" as opposed to  the "real" estate services you criticised in your first post! I thought it was funny too. It's just a play on words.
    • @OutOfFocus I am not sure at what point you thought the joke is funny. Unless you're an estate agent yourself and took it personally...
