NOTE 2. Please register for rides on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers, links below.

On the 11th May we have 2 rides planned. Both scheduled for 3 hours with 10 am starts. Eva is heading SE to Eltham while Jane is going west to Wandsworth Park.

Ride 1.  Eltham Surprises.  < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/eltham-surprises-cycle-ride-tickets-895593653727 >

Ride will visit the 4 Ps of Eltham - a Pleasance, a Palace, a Pavillion and Parks, plus a Winter Garden. Late coffee stop at the cafe in Oxleas Wood. This ride has 2 fairly steep hills, where the ride leader might step down from the bike and push it up, it’s ca 24 km long and including a visit to the Pavillion and the coffee break stop will take us ca 3 hours. Eva leading. Start at Cutty Sark Gardens, 10 am.

Ride 2. Burgess Park to Wandsworth Park  < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/burgess-park-to-wandsworth-park-cycle-ride-tickets-895588588577 >

Easy paced ride taking an outward route via Battersea Park and Thames Path - will probably return the same way after coffee in Wandsworth Park. The 3 km of path from Battersea Park to the Wandle is always a joy – right next to the river, traffic free and wide enough to relax. About 27 km, Jane leading. Start 10am from the Café in the middle to the park, off Chumleigh St/Albany Rd

Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”.

Please do not turn up for this ride unless you are registered as we wish to strictly limit numbers.

There’s also a step up into Maria’s - much smaller but you need to negotiate the step and door at the same time. Olivelli has more room and if I remember right the toilets are on the ground floor. A consideration if steps are an issue The Lordship might be an option. Noise is not usually an issue. We’ve enjoyed various meals there. The ladies toilets are on the same floor as the tables (the gents may be upstairs). The staff are always friendly
