Can anyone recommend a good property surveyor?

I would recommend Matt Aldridge from Scope Surveyors who I used a couple of months ago for a purchase in Dulwich.

Compared to someone else I used 6 months ago on a property where the deal fell through, he was 40% cheaper and his report was much better written and easy to read.

I find it really annoying when surveyors write reports where 80% of the contents is disclaimers and caveats, and his was not.
