About us
We are a busy, happy, and lively family of five. We have three wonderful children: a girl, (3yrs old in September), our middle boy (5yrs old), and our eldest boy (7yrs old in October). We live in Beckenham, South London and both work full-time. We have a good-sized house with an ample garden and a dedicated playroom for the kids. Our children go to school in Dulwich (8mins on the train from our home).

About the role
👍 We are looking for a caring, energetic, and reliable nanny to become part of our family for the long term. We're open to live in or live out positions.
⏰The role is 1-7pm, Mon-Fri during the school term but we can be flexible on the hours or days based on the right candidate. Ideally, the candidate would be open to being full-time during the school holidays: 8am-6pm .From September, all three children go to school. We will handle drop offs; the nanny would do pick-ups.
🚗 A driver is preferable, and the family car will be provided.
🐶 We have a cockapoo someone comfortable with dogs is a must.
🌍 We go to Portugal every year and would love the nanny to join but this is not essential.

What do we need?
🧘 We’re looking for someone who is nurturing whilst setting clear boundaries.
🍓Someone who will prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children. A passionate cook is a must. Someone who will bathe and care for the kids as we would.
🧹Someone will do housework associated with the kids (i.e. cleaning up after meal time and their laundry). We have a much-loved weekly cleaner (been with us for 7years) and a gardener.
✏️Someone who is passionate about supporting our children with their learning, helping them with their homework.
💡Prior experience with early years children is needed (be it a previous nanny, nursery worker, teaching assistant, etc).

    • I don't know how it works now but my late parents had little money when they were retired (just state pension and they rented their flat) and they used to take their cat to the Blue Cross (In Victoria if I remember correctly) where treatment was free for those who could'nt afford a private vet. I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
