Yes, we used Evey Dunbavin-Hands, from Hands-On Design Interiors. She designed and project managed our kitchen/dining reorganisation (moved the kitchen, put in bifold doors etc), then also went on to redesign our living areas, hallways and bedroom. We are about to use her again to refit our bathroom.

She is very easy to deal with, and great at keeping the tradespeople in line!

Her number is 07799 412751

A friend of mine recommended Matteo to me when I bought my place beginning of this year in East Dulwich as she has used him for her place in Chelsea. I was very impressed with him as I have seen many interior designers but this one was different and approachable, actually listen to what you want and come up with ideas to meet your needs. He also designs furnitures so he has design a piece of furniture for me. No girl likes to wear the same clothes as other girls so I also like my house to be unique and original.

So, I also highly recommend Matteo.

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
