Hi all, I am ordering some radiators from Casa and Matt is asking for a 60 percent deposit upfront. That strikes me as really high but it would be good to hear what others think.

Depends on how much they are, how easy it would be for him to return if you change your mind etc. etc.

If you're concerned, pay on credit card (either in part or whole, even 10p will suffice). That way you're covered if the worst should happen.

Matt supplied us with a new fireplace a few months ago and asked for a significant deposit...and why not? His cash flow would be taking the full hit otherwise! Anyway, he was a pleasure to work with and moved everything along quickly. Top bloke!
