Free to collect: very solid armchair in "elephant grey"

Free to a good home, a sofa.com armchair in elephant grey.

This is a well-used armchair which we bought around 10 years ago, upholstered in "elephant grey" plush fabric.  As you would expect, the fabric has lost a lot of its plushness as time has gone by and is wearing a little thin in places (although still intact throughout).  Very sturdy, very comfortable, even if some of the padding is - like the plush - not quite as “springy” as it was in its youth.  Most importantly it is clean and it’s been well-used and NOT ABUSED!

Free to collect from the Dawsons Heights end of Dunstans Road.  Please note that it will likely need considerable boot space and it will also likely need two people to bring it downstairs from our first floor to street level (have I mentioned that the chair is sturdy?).  Sadly I’ll be unable to help bring it downstairs as I've recently had a little surgery which prevents me from heavy lifting for a while…

Ideal as a re-upholstery project or simply live with it as a (slightly) shabby chic addition to your room.

DM me to make arrangements for collection.

I forgot to add that our home is smoke-free.

Sofa don't seem to do this particular chair any more.  The nearest equivalent in their current range is the "Izzy" armchair, see link which follows.  The normal as new retail price is £1,090 - on sale at the time of writing at £654.  More on the Izzy armchair here https://www.sofa.com/gb/luxury-armchairs/contemporary/izzy-armchair/p/AC-IZZ

    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.
