Are your specifically looking for a self catering? We stayed at Byfords of Holt last year in the big family room and it was fab. Holt is beautiful and was very child freindly. There is a steam rail way nearby (ant remember name but happy to look up) and also by close to beaches, etc.

The hotel itself was really nice and well geared up for kids too.

Does it have to be Norfolk? My friend has just finished refurbishing a place in Southwold, which isn't too far from the Norfolk border. A it's new to market, it might have availability for your dates.

Sleeps 4:

and the larger flat that sleeps 6 + 2 (the 2 being a bunk room)

Hi there

We've had a couple of great family holidays at Wood Farm in North Norfolk (near Holt). Self catering cottages on a working farm, lovely owner (Diana), safe for children, large play field with trampoline etc. Don't know if they'll have availability but worth a try

    • There was something to do a with a gate in the Brockwell case, I can't recall the detail, but the council removed a gate, which had been gifted in trust to the park, so the festival builders could allow access, or something. And that was illegal and that's what enabled Rylance et al to litigate.
    • How long is the Gala, and potential new event, disruption….this could be key from the article on the High Court challenge against Lambeth…   Under permitted development rules, a temporary change of use is allowed for a total of 28 days each calendar year, but the Brockwell Park festivals run over 37 days and were due to begin on 23 May.
    • Try the castle upstairs, you'd need to buy a few drinks in return.  @Suecan you advise?  It will be in use some Mondays no doubt
    • Yes, I was bemused to see that notice in Barry Road. It seemed a strange place to be having a drop off point.
