Anyone Lost A Black Long Hair Male Kitten?

Has anyone lost a young male black cat? Last night (Sat 17th Aug) an incredibly friendly kitten jumped into our flat through the window and didn't want to leave. We get a lot of foxes over our roof so didn't want to leave our window open all night. Every time we tried to get the cat out he would meow and meow at the window. We've fed him and made him comfy. 

We would love to return this beautiful cat to its owner(s)! 

p.s. he's got a home here if we don't hear anything

Can you get him scanned to se if he has a microchip?  It’s supposed to be ‘law’ now to have a chip.

Update:

Thank you for all the advice. This boy hasn't got a microchip but looks like he's got a forever home instead! ❤️

I'll still keep my eyes out for any news on lost black cats just in case.

All cats are legally required to be microchipped now,

I'd be inclined to keep him in while you try and locate owner(although not sure how you'd prove that) and then, give a couple of days and then take him to the vet and get him chipped.

There are lots of Lost Cat sites to check and try and find his humans.

He isn't being looked for ATM you have had him for a little while.  I would chip him and de flea etc.   And enjoy cuddles without any uninvited guests. 🐜🦗🪲🐞❤️❣️

Thanks Claudio - this isn’t Haroon our cat from Avondale Rise as Haroon is far too big to be described as a ‘kitten’ and has been microchipped.  But thanks for keeping a lookout!

Actually, good point.

Sadly, cats are used for baiting etc by people who look out for lost cats online 😥

But maybe they had photos of the cat before he went missing?
