You can send them by post, quick turnaround, reasonable price (although it's not cheap!), high quality scans. I'm a professional photographer and this is who I use for my film developing.

I bought a Veho Smartfix, really cheap, connects to your computer and is dead easy to do yourself. Takes about 10 seconds per negative. Ive digitised thousands.....
