Can O' Worms

Recommended Posts

I have an empty can o'worms outside our front door for anyone who would like it.

Similar to this one, all you need to buy is the coir soil to start the worms off, a bit of cardboard and some old blanket (or you can buy the coir blanket), and of course the worms (they come in the post!).

I had it for a few years, and honestly the worm tea is great for the garden. Once the worms get big enough, then they eat up your scraps of veg too.

    • Hi, does anyone have their up to date number please?
    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
