The second I heard this I knew Scudamore was seeking a scapegoat for any fall in interest in the Premier League, which he has negotiated up and up for such a long time.

But the fact is it's the best EPL for many years.

But what? Nice to see petro gazillions don't always guarantee success. I hope Liverpool win the league, just to reinforce the fact that you don't need a sugar daddy to win the league. City fast becoming at loathsome as CSKA Fulham and Yanited.

The Premier is nothing more than a brand and has been for years. I'm not surprised the allure is starting to wear off. Ours isn't the only product beamed around the globe.

John Terry truly is a c*nt and no mistake

Pos Team Played GD Points

1 Chelsea 32 38 69

2 Liverpool 31 45 68

3 Man City 30 52 67

Potential final points if they don't drop any

Chelsea - 87

Liverpool - 89

Man City - 91

In my book that still makes it City's to lose. Yes I know city have to go to Anfield, but that means Liverpool have to TAKE those points away from City.

And as yesterday showed, any of these teams could drop points elsewhere. Hell, Liverpool may well drop some this afternoon...

Yeah, but a win would be and they are at home.

I agree it's all ifs and buts and I don't really expect any of the teams to finish with a 100% record from now on in. My point really was that it's a long time since Liverpool have been in such a position with so few games left.

I've noticed the City game is the same week-end as the 25th anniversary of Hillsboro'. I don't think that's ideal for Liverpool with all the emotion that will be flying around that week. City were at OT for the 50th of Munich and won 2-1. If my memory is correct, the general opinion was that United played as if they were affected that day.

Believe!!!!

13 years today gone but not forgotten, David "Rocky" Rocastle. "Remember who you are, what you are, and who you represent" Saw David many times in the late 80's standing on the platform at Forest Hill station dressed in his Arsenal track suit carrying his boots in a boot bag. How times have changed. Always courteous to fans and well wishers, always cheerful. Wish there were more like him today. R.I.P. Rocky

    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the mental  energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to be able to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in both  my posts and other people's, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
