Large double bed + mattress £70 ONO

This is an Ikea Malm bedframe in oak veneer and a Hovag mattress. The size is a Euro King (slightly bigger than a UK queen size, it's 10cm wider) and it fits queen size bed sheets. The exact mattress size is 160x200 cm (5'3 x 6'6).

It's about 14 years old (mattress about 10) and in great working order - no frame parts are missing or broken. Parts of the veneer show some wear and tear but not really noticeable unless you look carefully.

The bed is dismantled for easy transportation but it's pretty straight forward to assemble. The pictures show what it is like when it's assembled, the mattress and details for the parts that need assembling.

You will need a large car or van to move it since the mattress is large.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
