Spartacus
Southwark have decided to no longer supply or support the use of the smaller blue boxes for recycling https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/your-recycling-containers Fot those of you that currently use a blue box, it will be removed and a large blue bin will replace it. A lot of people use the blue boxes to avoid cluttering their gardens or the street so whilst I understand their health and safety reason, it's going to potentially lead to more clutter on bin day or more bins left on streets as there is no room in properties. Bob Buzzard
Thanks for the update. Fortunately my front garden is large enough to accomodate a big blue bin next to my Citroen AX. But other people aren’t all so lucky. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1681319 Share on other sites
SpringTime
Enough, Bob. It's an earlier Citroën Visa model and we all know it. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1681330 Share on other sites

Bob Buzzard
It’s a Citroen AX Spree to be more exact. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1681977 Share on other sites
Spartacus
It's a good job they are replacing your blue box with a bin Bob, we all know a Citroen won't fit into a blue box for recycling (unless it's a 2cv ) 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1682019 Share on other sites
Bob Buzzard
There’s no need to talk about Deux Chevaux - just because I can park my car in my front garden next to my bins. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1682379 Share on other sites

Or rather assert on size it it becomes true. We have enough space for 3 wheely bins but walking the streets not everyone does Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1682405 Share on other sites
Bob Buzzard
I’ve noticed some people have quite small front gardens. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351663-blue-recycling-boxes/#findComment-1683057 Share on other sites
