Seems to be a resident singing most evenings in Copleston Road.

Even with the windows shut tight to keep the cold out, I can hear her.

Has anyone else heard her?

Evening?

Morning, evening, NIGHT (11pm, 2am, 4am, 6 am). 2 days ago it was non stop. She seems to be using a microphone/amplifier...

I have contacted mental health services, noise team, etc etc but nobody seems to be able to help...

Have you been round to check she's OK?

Did you try adult social services?

As a concerned neighbour,  you could ask the police to do a welfare check.  You would need the address.

But if she's just singing, how would that be a welfare issue? I realise it's at unsocial hours, but if the noise team can't help I'm not sure how the police could?

Unless you could present it to the community police as a problem between neighbours, but she may not realise it IS a problem!

Someone above said she doesn't open the door. You could try putting a note through the door? Or perhaps a friendly card along the lines of "I'm sure you don't realise .... but ...."?

    • True but I doubt nobody around lordship lane has a phone. The value that the phone box provides is severely outweighed by modern circumstances and its painfully ugly look. Having to use that phone in an emergency is an emergency in itself.
    • Yes, except round here is started in early September, through October, in all that means fireworks season is now 5 months of the year.  Again, what is the attraction in startling random bangs. Why do people think this is okay?
    • You've gone a bit Alan Patridge again.... Why on earth would I need to eat humble pie, I really can't fathom what your point is?
    • Ahh, the traditional smell of the BT air fresher, hint of urine, used to stop people spending hours in the phone box and queues forming.  Although it is disgusting that people feel its their rights to treat a utility as their own personal litter bin and urinal. 😔
