It's my son's 3rd birthday in November and I am looking for ideas as to what to do party-wise. It will be too cold for anything outdoors, but our flat is too small to host a party (plus I will be 8 months pregnant by then). If anyone has any ideas on what to do/places to hire (for not too much money) I would be really grateful. I don't have a creative bone in my body so any ideas for entertainment that would be good too!

Thanks x

Mr Fruitcake looks quite fun !

For places to hire http://www.birthdayparty4u.co.uk/ search for venues in here

Pinterest is great for any DIY inspiration. I used just Google '(party theme) birthday pinterest' e.g. 'mickey mouse birthday pinterest' - helps with decorations and invites, even food, etc. e.g. http://pinterest.com/litlmizsunshine/mickey-mouse-birthday-party/

Thanks everyone for your ideas.

After many viewings and different permutations, I have booked JAGS Sea Scout Hut and am going to get a 'pirate' in to do songs, stories, bubbles, parachute play etc.

I don't think it took this much costing and planning when I was organising my wedding! :-)

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
