Vintage Baret Ware "Plantation" Biscuit Barrel/Tin 1960's Fruit Pattern - £15

19 cm tall x 16 cm wide. Bought new in 1960's and only used a little. The tin is metal with an indented fruit pattern. The lid has a compartment for drying material if wanted.

The metal handle is brown and may have had its fixing to the tin replaced at some time in the last 60 years. It works well. There are a couple of minor dents on the bottom of the barrel and some marks (see photos) but overall it is in very good condition.

    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
