The Living and Giving shop had a pair of 90s flares for £250 😮 This £150 "bargain" in the hospice shop was some sort of flimsy parka type thing.

Kemi's short sharp videos laying out her parties planned future polices show how she is quietly getting on with the job of being the leader of the Opposition. Can't wait for a snap election, 4 years is way too long to wait, UK plc will be bankrupt by then. Austerity hurt and continues to hurt and disadvantage those on low incomes, but austerity has widened its grasp and moved up to the next demographic the middle classes who are being hit just as hard and are feeling its impact. Currently we are not only experiencing austerity but are in a downward spiralling depression. Ask the butcher, the baker, the cheesemonger, the fishmonger, the greengrocer what it's like running a small business, ask them how peoples buying habits have changed. The butcher I use says that meat has become a luxury, people are cutting back because it becomes too expensive. They won't cut their margins, if they do, they won't survive either. The Govt can only tax people so far, you can't get blood out of a stone and we are that stone, bled dry. Perhaps reducing spending by Govt and only focusing on key essentials for 18 months to try and dig us out of this hole, who knows, I don't. But what I do recognise is that the current Govt have made a right balls up in a year, which took the Conservatives 14 to achieve. And or UKIP or Reform or whatever they call themselves that is not the answer either

The rent of the shop is enormous- the landlord almost doubled it when they had to renew the lease. St. C's had to make a decision as to whether to pay the increased rent or find alternative premises. The refurbishment has greatly improved the shop's layout. Husband now buys most of his stuff from the Lewisham branch as much cheaper and also sell CDs and LPs. The Penge and Sydenham stores have a more limited range but also lower prices.

That's a cop out. You are talking about managing the economy. Previous regimes are relevant. You are calling for austerity. I have questioned this. This is a forum not a soap box. Although it feels more like the latter on some other threads 😕
