I second that whole heartedly.
Come the next local elections lots of Labour incumbents will be turfed out and it will pave the way for sensible, committed and non-tribal candidates to be selected.

Non-tribal?

James was an excellent councillor, but he was Lib Dem.

Is that not "tribal", then?

And what are your reasons for thinking the "Labour incumbents" are not sensible or committed?

And what on earth has any of that got to do with locks?!

there are various charities that provide keysafe installation for vulnerable adults and I am guessing someone got the address wrong. A charity installed one for my mum and just did it without knocking on the door.

Presumably Social services or similar will turn up at the right house/flat and wonder why no keysafe. And then contact the contractor. Who will swear blind they went to the right house.

Or something along these lines.

You could contact Council Adult Social Care Services by email as well. Usually recipient has to be in so they can be told code and shown how to access the keysafe.

Are you under Southwark? In which case:

'You can contact Southwark adult social care by:

Emailing [email protected] or calling 020 7525 3324 for adults with a physical or sensory disability or who are 65 or older'

Mystey solved!

As pointed out by a few of you - this was indeed a mistake from a council subcontractor who instals keysafes.

Just a couple of emails with the council (thanks IionaM for the heads up), and they are now scheduled to come and take it off (AND fix the wall) next week.

Very happy with the response from the council. It was an odd mistake to make but it seems it will be reverted 🙂

    • Shouting Out For England is an original England football song to be sung by children from East Dulwich primary schools, with all proceeds going to Football Beyond Borders - a UK charity that works with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage who are passionate about football but disengaged at school. We’re aiming to get to NUMBER 1 on the week of the start of the World Cup in June! To professionally record and release the song we’re looking to raise  £3,750. Any amount will help, but £50 + sponsors receive: a name or logo credit on the digital release sleeve (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube etc.) mention on the project website and social posts You can donate at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/shoutingout - where you can also hear a short demo clip of the song. We hope you can take part, but if not, it would be great if you could forward to anyone you think might be interested!   Shouting Out For England https://shoutingoutforengland.com
