Come the next local elections lots of Labour incumbents will be turfed out and it will pave the way for sensible, committed and non-tribal candidates to be selected. Non-tribal? James was an excellent councillor, but he was Lib Dem. Is that not "tribal", then? And what are your reasons for thinking the "Labour incumbents" are not sensible or committed? And what on earth has any of that got to do with locks?! Autofill
there are various charities that provide keysafe installation for vulnerable adults and I am guessing someone got the address wrong. A charity installed one for my mum and just did it without knocking on the door. ianr
Autofill, do you remember who in your mum's case notified whom of the code set, and when? 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354182-is-this-a-scam-keylock-safe-appears-to-be-installed-in-my-house-out-of-nowhere/page/2/#findComment-1688569 Share on other sites
OutOfFocus
Presumably Social services or similar will turn up at the right house/flat and wonder why no keysafe. And then contact the contractor. Who will swear blind they went to the right house. Or something along these lines. Usually recipient has to be in so they can be told code and shown how to access the keysafe. Are you under Southwark? In which case: 'You can contact Southwark adult social care by: Emailing [email protected] or calling 020 7525 3324 for adults with a physical or sensory disability or who are 65 or older' Mystey solved! As pointed out by a few of you - this was indeed a mistake from a council subcontractor who instals keysafes. Just a couple of emails with the council (thanks IionaM for the heads up), and they are now scheduled to come and take it off (AND fix the wall) next week. Very happy with the response from the council. It was an odd mistake to make but it seems it will be reverted 🙂 3 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354182-is-this-a-scam-keylock-safe-appears-to-be-installed-in-my-house-out-of-nowhere/page/2/#findComment-1690257 Share on other sites
