'It has been a revelation for my 12 year old to be tutored by Tom in English Literature. He is an exceptionally gifted teacher. He is qualified to teach at a much higher level than key stage 3 and the depth of his own relationship with the subject matter really shows. It is matched by his talent for allowing the student the time and space to arrive at their own understanding of the texts he teaches. His patience and understanding have been a tremendous benefit to my child and it has been wonderful for me to watch her confidence and her sense of herself grow as Tom has listened to her. I should mention that Tom knows his way around the exam system very well, and can teach tools for exam performance. However my opinion is that his true value is in his willingness also to set those types of goal aside, and model a true love of literature to his pupil.'

I'll have some availability after the May/June exams for students working towards 11+, GCSEs or A levels over the coming years - please don't hesitate to get in touch.

For those currently out of school with GCSEs on the horizon I can offer a lot of week-day flexibility.

Many thanks

    • Absolutely, another coalition was nailed on with the bookies, three big factors, Tories playing it very cute with constituents in marginal seats, LDs being punished for tuition fees and not pushing Tories harder, and Milliband's public persona in particular the right wing media.  irrespective of unnecessary austerity the country would have been in a better place if there had been another coalition.
    • I have heard a few times that Cameron thought there was going to be another coalition government and he needed some policies that he could easily throw away in bargaining with the Liberal Democrats. So he proposed the referendum planning to bargain it away after the election. Then he won and was stuck with it. Maybe that was stupid 🙂
    • Noticed that next door the Bishop is shutting at 1:00am on a weekend - has been 2:00am for years Thats the same time as the EDT.
