Buying an International Driving Permit

Anyone any experience?  The Post Office stopped selling these this year, apparently some shops with Paypoint do but from the look of it none locally

No experience other than of web searching. [smiley] PO's own website pointed to a uk.gov page which pointed to: https://consumer.paypoint.com/international-driving-permits, which lists quite a few local Paypoint-enabled stores and says what's needed for the application.
