Getting rid of background noise on a .4mv video file

Can anyone please help my husband.


He is Best Man next weekend and has a video that was filmed on an iphone and has been converted to a .4mv using Microsoft.


It has dreadful background noise and we really really need to get rid of the background noise.


Is there anyone out there that we can pay to help us please.

Sally there are free Apps that will do this on both Windows and Mac > http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ is one I use effectively. It can remove background noises that are constant like a hiss or hum or even a level amount of chatter.


There are lots of free tutorials online if you google them eg.



If the noises are sporadic like say fireworks going off you would need to go in and edit the waveforms manually.

      I wonder whether his political epiphany and renaissance will stretch to him using his real name - James Ashworth-McLintock - rather than the more proletarian 'McAsh'. To my mind, the only people who should have self-bestowed mononyms are very talented Brazilian footballers - Pele, Kaka, Ronaldinho - very talented female pop icons - Madonna, Shakira, Sonia - or Russian revolutionaries - Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky.       Probably more helpful to ask simply whether McCash was affiliated with the Greens before becoming a Labour councillor. Trying to explain your thought process and unravel your fevered imagination (particularly when it comes to local politica) is the kind of thing that might require several years of psychoanalysis.
