angehouse
@NewWave that’s a good idea!! Someone cannot book well in advance to cancel regularly . They should monitor that. Also I didn’t know you can book two weeks in advance. I was not aware of it. It’s even more frustrating now because I used to book regularly without any problem a week in advance and on the day. I regret it! I shouldn’t have done it. Unfortunately no money back. I guess I can try the gym for some body weight training but don’t know how it works! Thank you for your feedback 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/355794-leisure-centre-gym-refurb/page/2/#findComment-1695314 Share on other sites
Jellybeanz
New refurb is excellent in many ways, nice layout except I don't like facing the free weight section when using the weight machines. All the equipment and spacing is well thought out. I think they should do more for senior citizens in terms of weekday classes and swim sessions but aside from that it's an excellent leisure centre and I'm really grateful it's on our doorstep. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/355794-leisure-centre-gym-refurb/page/2/#findComment-1695335 Share on other sites

Thank you for your feedback If you speak to the reception you should be able to get a free gym induction as part of your membership. Not enough people actually get guidence on how to use the equipment properly and therefore either don't get the best out of it or injure themselves. After the refurb I booked an induction so I learnt how to adjust the new equipment because despite attending there for about 10years I was used to the old machines and equipment and at my age (64) I really did'nt want to faff around not knowing how adjust things correctly. As regards advance booking classes I know for sure you used to be able to book a class 10days in advance but not sure about 2 weeks. Good luck in the gym!
