What a great result for all Kingsdale parents that have been holding breath for last couple of weeks ! Thanks to Skegness for constant checking the antiquated Kingsdale web site & onwards & upwards for a great school and all of our kids that are part of this journey.
That Kingsdale release is very coy on the overall 5+EM figure (still currently the main one used). It says 'approximately 2 out of 3 students' reached this benchmark. Looking at the eng and maths figures both at 70%, I would guess 60-65% overall. They should be clearer with this.

Tomk ; agreed

But for us with kid's at KD this is a great result & a base that the school can build on after the the last few difficult years. No school is perfect but when your own kids are part of the process it is a leap of faith & one you want to succeed ?

There is a whole thread about this. Lots of ambitious parents who can't afford private schools are shipping their kids out to Kent grammars.

I am really happy that the Kingsdale results show significant improvement over 2012 and am also pleased that information has been given in a more or less timely fashion, though I agree it could be even more precise. Given the extremely low attainment last year, anything over 50% or is to be applauded, imo, and suggests the school is getting back on track academically.

Kingsdale should be proud of its results. I would imagine they would be closer to 65% A* - C inc English and Maths than 60 (as 60 would be in 3 in 5 not 2 out of 3)

I'm particularly delighted with the science

And a third of year 10s already at 5 A*-C inc Eng and Maths is intriguing

    • Also endorse Niko! We had a mystery leak which he came round and identified as the dishwasher. After John Lewis came round and failed to install the new one due to a tricky door on the old integrated machine, Niko came back and had the new one cleanly installed and with the door on with no trouble at all. He was friendly, explained his process and transparent (and reasonable) on pricing. Hugely recommend him and will continue to use him when any issues crop up!
