Really loud music in Peckham Rye park last night

Hi all,

My partner and I were woken up by music - think bad early noughties pop - being played in the park last night. I could see green lights by the cafe from their speakers. It was so loud that the sound travelled over to us on the other side of the park.

The last time this happened it was c11pm on a Tuesday, and I actually ran across the park to confront them. They called me a silly cow, and said that they’d been doing it for 20 years, but I was very forceful and said I would get the police involved so they packed it in. Is this a regular thing? They were two white guys in their 50’s / 60’s. They have massive speakers and a lights machine. It’s really antisocial and annoying !!!

Why the description of their skin tone? It’s not as if there are likely to be more than one set of two men over the age of 60 playing noughties pop music with accompanying light display of a night on the Rye.

You may just as well ask why mention their age, or their sex, or that there were two of them. 

The OP was giving a general description.

Reminds me of those two (middle-aged?) guys who used to drive around here in a vintage van with huge speakers on the back blasting reggae or something, must be years ago.
