Urgh. All we need now is for them to call it 'Ollie's on the Lordship' and satire is officially dead.

I did wonder whether the copy had been written by AI.

It seems remarkably close to this ad from 'Zoolander'.

Just wanted to shout out a really great new coffee place on Upland Road next to Eric’s bakery.

It’s called Aroma Lab and the owner is so lovely. Super knowledgeable about coffee and it’s definitely the best coffee I’ve had locally. Worth a visit if you want to support a new local business.

Sounds, and looks, more like an errant and indulged teenage son who backpacked through south east Asia and visited Jim Thompson's house.

Probably came home with dreads, piercings and a Thai script tattoo that he was told represented 'One Love', but actually spells out 'I Am A Massive Farang Twat'.

The latter is quite a common thing.

They really should have added 'Fuckwittery is Ollie's House'. 'Ollie is a fuckwit'

🤣

After a horrible very long day at work I came home..read this post and laughed out loud....thank you!

Pricey - did not go to Megan's due to price. Love Dulwich and Chen are better value.

We made the error of visiting the one in Dulwich just after it opened...you missed nothing.

I dont mind paying a bit more for something decent but honestly it was one of the most underwhelming badly cooked meals I've eaten,  with an accompnayment of awful muzak and dire dire service .

really overpriced too I agree.

the fruit & vegetable merchant Taylor's of Maltby Street will be opening in Dulwich Village after all.

I went in here the other day. The fruit is all really good - ripe and fresh. They also sell good bread (and croissants and pastries) from a independent bakery, the name of which I've forgotten. 🤦

The prices (which are marked) are not cheap but they are fair imo. Comparable to the specialist fruit shop on Lordship Lane (Brothers?) for really good quality. It's similar prices to Simply Fresh - but Simply Fresh's fruit and veg is very poor. Beaten about and tasteless. Sainsbury's is certainly cheaper.

IMVHO they're a good addition to the Dulwich Village "retail offer".

    • Went actually for the first time yesterday. Terrific food, so was well pleased. Agree with previous poster to support.
